Recipe: Green Detox Smoothie

This green detox smoothie is packed with liver-loving ingredients such as spinach, cucumber, lemon, and ginger. Spinach contains chlorophyll, which helps to cleanse the liver and remove toxins from the body. Cucumber is hydrating and aids in detoxification, while lemon and ginger support digestion and liver function. Chia seeds add fibre and omega-3 fatty acids, promoting overall detoxification and well-being. Start your day with this nutritious and delicious smoothie to kickstart your liver detox journey!



INGREDIENTS:

 

  • 1 cup fresh spinach leaves

  • 1/2 cucumber, peeled and chopped

  • 1/2 green apple, cored and chopped

  • 1/2 lemon, juiced

  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, peeled and grated

  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk or coconut water

  • Optional: a few sprigs of fresh mint leaves for garnish


METHOD:

 

  • In a blender, combine fresh spinach leaves, chopped cucumber, chopped green apple, lemon juice, grated ginger, chia seeds, and almond milk or coconut water.

  • Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy.

  • If the smoothie is too thick, add more almond milk or coconut water until you reach your desired consistency.

  • Pour the smoothie into glasses and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.

  • Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing taste and detoxifying benefits!
